Refreshing Iced Matcha Latte

This delicious drink combines the gentle, earthy taste of matcha with creamy milk and refreshing ice cubes. For those who like it a little sweeter, there is the option of refining the latte with a touch of vanilla syrup. Easy to prepare and irresistibly delicious!
Ingredients:
- 1-2 bamboo spoons (chashaku) matcha
- 50 ml hot water
- 200 ml milk of your choice (e.g. cow's milk, almond milk, oat milk)
- Ice cubes
- Optional: 1-2 tsp vanilla syrup
Preparation:
1. Prepare Matcha:
- Put 1-2 bamboo spoons of matcha into a bowl.
- Heat 50 ml of water to about 80°C (not boiling) and pour it over the matcha.
- Whisk the matcha with a bamboo whisk (chasen) until it reaches a fine, foamy consistency.
- For the classic iced latte version, you can use the milk directly cold.
3. Prepare the drink:
- Fill a glass with ice cubes.
- Pour the foamed matcha over the ice cubes.
- Add the cold milk and stir gently.
- Optional: Add 1-2 teaspoons of vanilla syrup and stir well for a sweeter note.
- Decorate the drink as desired with a pinch of matcha powder or a straw.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
