Heavenly Raspberry Matcha Latte

Pamper your palate with our heavenly Raspberry Matcha Latte - a perfect blend of fruity freshness and smooth matcha. This unique creation combines the best of both worlds: the invigorating power of matcha and the natural sweetness of fresh raspberries. The whole thing is rounded off with a creamy milk base, a hint of vanilla or agave juice for extra sweetness and refreshing ice cubes. A true treat for every matcha lover!

Ingredients:

  • 100 g fresh raspberries
  • 1-2 bamboo spoons (chashaku) matcha
  • 50 ml hot water
  • 200 ml milk of your choice (e.g. cow's milk, almond milk, oat milk)
  • 1-2 tsp vanilla syrup or agave juice (optional)
  • Ice cubes

Preparation:

1. Puree raspberries:

  • Wash the fresh raspberries thoroughly.
  • Puree the raspberries with a blender or hand blender until you reach a smooth consistency.
  • Optional: Strain the raspberry puree through a fine sieve to remove the seeds.

2. Prepare Matcha:

  • Put 1-2 bamboo spoons of matcha into a bowl.
  • Heat 50 ml of water to about 80°C (not boiling) and pour it over the matcha.
  • Whisk the matcha with a bamboo whisk (chasen) until it reaches a fine, foamy consistency.

3. Prepare the drink:

  • Fill a glass with ice cubes.
  • Pour the raspberry puree over the ice cubes.
  • Add the vanilla syrup or agave juice if desired and stir well.
  • Fill the glass with the milk.
  • Pour the foamed matcha over the raspberry puree.

Serve and enjoy:

Decorate the drink as desired with a few fresh raspberries or a pinch of matcha powder.
