Vanilla Matcha Butterfly Tea

With these ingredients you can prepare a delicious vanilla matcha butterfly tea . Here is the recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon matcha powder
  • 1-2 teaspoons vanilla syrup (to taste)
  • 200 ml oat milk
  • 50 ml oat cream with butterfly peas
  • Hot water (approx. 50 ml)

Preparation:

  1. Preparing Matcha :
    Put the matcha powder in a bowl or cup. Add about 50 ml of hot water (not boiling, about 60-80°C). Use a matcha whisk (or a small whisk) and beat the matcha until it is foamy.

  2. Heat oat milk :
    Heat the oat milk in a small saucepan or in the microwave until hot but not boiling. Froth the milk with a milk frother if you want a creamier consistency.

  3. Stir in vanilla syrup :
    Stir the vanilla syrup into the hot oat milk.

  4. Assemble the latte :
    Pour the oat milk and vanilla syrup into a large glass. Carefully pour the whipped matcha over it.

  5. Add butterfly pea cream :
    Shake the oat cream with butterfly peas well and pour it slowly over the latte. It will add a beautiful blue color and mix easily with the matcha, creating a pretty layered effect.

  6. Serving :
    Stir gently if you like, or enjoy the latte with the layers visible. Optionally, you can dust it with a little more matcha powder.

Tip:

You can serve the latte hot or cold. If you want to serve it cold, use cold oat milk and add ice cubes before adding the butterfly pea cream.
