Matcha is considered a popular coffee alternative. The following reasons are convincing in comparison:

  • Longer and more consistent effect
  • No caffeine low
  • Does not increase nervousness
  • Relaxes and reduces stress levels due to the high content of the amino acid L-theanine
  • Improves concentration

There are actually very big differences in matcha quality. You can see this difference especially in the color. The matcha powder that you can buy in the supermarket usually looks a bit brownish. Good matcha quality should be a rich green. We only sell the best matcha quality, namely “Ceremonial Grade” - link to quality section

Mix approx. 1g of matcha with warm water. Max. 75 degrees, otherwise you will burn the matcha and it will become bitter. Mix with the stirring object of your choice (milk frother or whisker (link). To avoid lumps, it is best to sieve the powder first.

It is also possible to purchase our matcha for cafes, restaurants, bars or shops. Here we differentiate whether you want to sell the matcha in the packaged bag or whether you want to process the powder further.

There are different ways to drink matcha. The traditional way would be to drink the matcha pure, like an espresso. But you can also mix it with plant milk and enjoy it as a matcha latte, as a drink in a matcha spritz (link to recipe), or cook or bake with it, or mix it into smoothies.

Our favorite plant milk is oat milk. It gives the matcha latte a creamy touch and the drink doesn't split. We wouldn't recommend cow's milk, as it somewhat reduces the taste of the matcha.
