Matcha Rice Waffeln

Matcha Rice Waffles

Ingredients (for 4 waffles)

  • 4 whole-grain rice cakes
  • 100 g white chocolate
  • 1 tsp matcha powder
  • 1 tsp coconut oil (optional, for a more liquid chocolate)
  • Fresh berries of your choice (e.g. raspberries, strawberries, blueberries)
  • 1 tbsp coconut sprinkles

Melt chocolate:
Melt the white chocolate together with the coconut oil (if using) over a hot water bath or in short intervals in the microwave.

Stir in matcha:
Sift the matcha powder into the melted chocolate and mix well until a smooth green mixture is formed.

Coat rice cakes:
Spread or dip the rice cakes with the matcha chocolate.

Add toppings:
Spread the berries and coconut sprinkles evenly over the still soft chocolate coating.

Allow to harden:
Place the waffles on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and let them set in the refrigerator for about 10-15 minutes.
