Grapefruit Tonic Matcha

Ingredients (for 1 glass):

  • 1 tsp Matcha powder (Ceremonial Grade Matcha & Friends)

  • 30 ml hot water (not boiling, approx. 80 °C)

  • 100 ml freshly squeezed grapefruit juice (preferably pink grapefruit)

  • 100–150 ml tonic water (depending on taste)

  • ice cubes

  • Optional: some honey, agave syrup or syrup (if you like it sweeter)

Preparation:

  1. Preparing Matcha:
    Sift the matcha powder into a bowl or glass to avoid lumps. Then pour in the hot water and whisk until frothy.

  2. Grapefruit juice and ice:
    Put ice cubes into a large glass and pour the freshly squeezed grapefruit juice over it.

  3. Add tonic water:
    Pour the tonic water slowly so that it fizzes nicely.

  4. Matcha on top:
    Carefully pour the matcha on top for a beautiful layered look! For Instagram-worthy vibes, stir gently or leave it as is.

  5. Optionally sweeten to taste.

For an extra kick of freshness: garnish with some mint or grapefruit zest.
